GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts)’s Music Scholarship for Undergraduate Study is open to Massachusetts high school seniors or home-schooled seniors who will be attending an institution of higher education and majoring in Piano, Instrument, Music Education, Music Therapy, or Voice. To apply, interested students should provide a personal statement detailing their goals, a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or music instructor (original on school letterhead), a copy of their Massachusetts Driver’s License or High School ID, and an official transcript of their high school grades. The General Federation of Women's Clubs, since it was founded in 1890, has been a unifying force, bringing together local women's clubs from around the country and throughout the world. Although there is considerable diversity in the ages, interests, and experiences of GFWC clubwomen, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.
