Offered by Get To® Foundation
Although new opportunities can sometimes seem daunting, it’s always best to look at them optimistically, with an attitude of “getting to” do something new rather than “having to.” This is what Ben Jones, a Michigan native and football player, firmly believed. If you, like Ben, are a Michigan native, a dedicated athlete, and are involved in your community, the Get To Foundation Scholarship may be the perfect scholarship for you!
The scholarship, worth between $500 and $1,500, is open to Michigan high school seniors who have participated in a sport for at least three years, hold a minimum 3.0 GPA, are community-involved, donate time to charities or causes, and demonstrate other leadership capabilities. In addition to completing an application and submitting a 1,000-word essay about how they demonstrate a “Get To” attitude, students must be nominated by either their Athletic Director or a school Administrator (i.e. Principal, Vice Principal, etc.) to be considered for the scholarship.
If you’re interested in this scholarship, you may want to explore other scholarships for Michigan residents and community service scholarships that you could apply for. Don’t miss out – apply today to honor Ben’s legacy and secure financial aid for your future!

The Get To Foundation was founded in 2021 in memory of Ben Jones, a Michigan high school football player and coach who tragically passed away. The Foundation continues Ben's legacy of inspiring others to consider obligations and obstacles as opportunities. By providing resources to communities, teams, and individuals, the Foundation encourages others to shift their perspective from “Have To” to "Get To."
