Offered by Georgia Education Savings Authority (GESA)
Established in 2024, the Georgia Promise Scholarship aims to empower Georgian families to pursue educational pathways beyond traditional public schooling. If a Georgia family chooses to pursue such a pathway for their children, through private school or homeschooling, the Scholarship promises to help them afford the necessary tuition fees, textbooks, tutoring services, and more.
Through the Georgia Promise Scholarship, eligible Georgia families may earn up to $6,500 a year per eligible student. To qualify, such students must either (a) have been enrolled in public schooling for the previous academic year and will be transitioning to non-public schooling or (b) be entering (non-public) kindergarten for the upcoming academic year. Their parents or guardians must submit the following on their behalf: proof of Georgia residency, proof of income, school enrollment records, and, if eligible, proof of active duty in the military.
If you’re a Georgia parent whose child will be attending a non-public school, we encourage you to apply! Before you go, consider checking out these scholarships for private K-12 schools. Good luck with your scholarship search!
