Gary Grossman was the founder and president of Coastal Community Builders, Inc, a company that would go on to become the “largest builder on the Central Coast (of California).” On top of being a highly motivated, skilled entrepreneur, he is an advocate for the rights of minority groups. In these efforts, he established the Gary Grossman Scholarship – for LGBTQ to support local LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer) students who demonstrate leadership, integrity and honesty.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be LGBTQ, current or incoming undergraduate students who are either (a) residing in San Luis Obispo County or the Santa Maria Basin in California or (b) currently attending California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo, Cuesta College, or Hancock College. Applicants must also hold a minimum 2.5 GPA
