Soldiers work to defend their country and bravely partake in combat, training, humanitarian, or disaster relief operations. To honor veterans and their time in the armed service, the Florida Legion Auxiliary Department Scholarship is annually awarded to children of honorably discharged Veterans who will be attending college in Florida!
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be the children of honorably discharged Veterans. They must also reside in Florida and attend an in-state university. Applicants who will be attending a four-year university may earn up to $2,000, while those who will be attending a junior college or technical school may receive up to $1,000. Rewards will be renewed annually for undergraduate studies provided the recipient needs further financial assistance and has maintained a 2.5 GPA.
