Offered by Jackson Community Foundation
Spending 27 years of her life as a teacher and principal in the Michigan Center School District, Erma E. Biedermann had an unending dedication to education. This passion would continue even after she retired, leading Erma to establish a will that would create a trust fund to provide money for students desiring to continue their education in college. Since 1982, this fund, now known as the Erma E. Biedermann Scholarship, has been annually awarded to help the high school seniors of Jackson County, Michigan attend college.
In addition to graduating from a Jackson County high school, applicants must hold a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. They must also plan to attend a public college or university. If you’re a Michigan Center student, even better! You will be given special consideration when reviewing applications. However, any college-bound high school senior from Jackson County, Michigan may apply. Recipients will be awarded up to $2,000 for their college education.
