Offered by Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region
Known as Wisconsin’s maritime capital, Manitowoc County’s history of building ocean vessels goes far back. From building submarines to aid war efforts during World War II, to being home to a variety of spectacular yacht manufacturers today, the maritime culture is still entrenched in the county’s history. If you’re a high school senior who calls Manitowoc County home, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region may have a great opportunity for you!
The Eck Education Scholarship is open to graduating seniors from a Manitowoc County (WI) high school. Applicants must also be planning to pursue a professional certification, associate, or bachelor’s degree at any college or university in Wisconsin, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate an impressive work ethic and participation in extracurricular activities. Special consideration will be given to those majoring in the engineering sciences. Each year, two applicants will be chosen to earn this $3,000 scholarship.
