Offered by Texas Rural Education Association
There are plenty of benefits to living in rural areas, including a lower cost of living, a stronger sense of community, and better air quality. However, individuals from these areas are often overlooked when it comes to college recruitment, and students from rural areas have lower rates of college enrollment than their urban and suburban peers. To provide support and better college access to students living in rural areas, the Texas Rural Education Association is offering the Dr. Don Rogers Honorary Scholarship!
This scholarship, worth $2,000, is open to high school seniors in school districts that belong to the Texas Rural Education Association (TREA). Applicants must also plan to enroll in a post-graduate program, attend a technical school, or enlist in the military the upcoming school year.
If you’re interested in this scholarship, we encourage you to explore other scholarships for Texas residents available on the Scholarships360 platform as well. We wish you luck on your scholarship search!
