Offered by The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County
Having served as the President of the Atascadero Chapter Early Ford V8 car club was just the tip of the iceberg of Douglas De Gross’ lifetime passion for cars. He had a decades-long successful career in the automotive industry, starting his career at Ford Motor Company and later working for Freightliner Corporation, Bendix, and Allied-Signal (later Honeywell Corporation). If you’re a high school or undergraduate student with a similar love for cars and a major in automotive studies, you may be eligible for the Douglas De Gross Scholarship for Automotive Studies!
In addition to majoring in automotive studies, students interested in the scholarship must be graduating high school seniors in San Luis Obispo County or Cuesta College students. Applicants must submit a video, essay, or PowerPoint presentation to be considered for the scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship will earn $2,000 to go towards their post-secondary education.
Ready to drive into your future? If so, consider applying for this scholarship! But, before you go, don’t forget to check out our other California scholarships and scholarships for students studying automotive trades. Happy applying!
