Food Safety Specialists play an important role in the public good. They are responsible for overseeing that foods are processed, packaged, and prepared according to the food safety standards of both their company and regulatory organizations (such as the Food & Drug Administration). To say thanks to those wanting to pursue a career in this industry, the DFA Of California Scholarship is annually awarded to future agricultural business students in the state of California!
To qualify for the scholarship worth between $500 and $2,000, applicants must be high school seniors or undergraduates pursuing a major in an agricultural business accredited program (relating to agriculture and the future of food quality or food safety) in California. Applicants must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a high school in the United States.
