Offered by Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology
Besides providing a well-rounded education in business, STEM, social sciences, or the arts, attending an HBCU is a wonderful opportunity for its chances at cultural enrichment and for Black American students to feel a sense of belonging on campus. If you are a current HBCU undergraduate pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field, the Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology may have the perfect scholarship opportunity for you!
Each year, their fund awards $3,000 to current HBCU undergraduates majoring in or intending to major in a technical field of study (engineering, math, science, etc.). To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must submit a personal essay describing their career goals, grades, SAT scores, and recommendations. Each applicant’s financial need will also be considered in recipient selection. If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply!
