The Debbie B. Rice Memorial Scholarship is awarded by ALET each year in honor of Debbie Rice, a long-time leader in the organization who served as the Technology Director for Auburn City Schools until 2014.
This $10,000 scholarship is offered to high school seniors graduating from high schools in Alabama whose technology directors are members of Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology (ALET). Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA, have a minimum 17 ACT score, use their award at a university in Alabama, and plan to study computer science, information technology, or a technology-related field.
