The tragedy that occurred at Columbine High School in Jefferson County School District in Colorado took thirteen lives far too soon. To honor their memory and support future generations of Jefferson County students, the Denver Foundation established the Columbine Memorial Scholarship – Students.
To qualify for the scholarship, individuals must be Jefferson County School District (Colorado) public high school seniors. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be planning to begin classes at an accredited university, college, community college, or technical school in the United States in the fall semester immediately following graduation. Each year, the scholarship awards $2,200 each to multiple recipients. Students who participate in extracurricular activities, demonstrate leadership skills, and have made a positive impact in their school and/or community are especially encouraged to apply.
