Offered by Cayuga Nation
The Cayuga Nation is part of the Haudenosaunee, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy, a powerful alliance of Native American tribes whose origins lie in New York. The Cayuga people, specifically, originate from the Finger Lakes region. Today, there are approximately 12,000 members of the Cayuga Nation, with most residing in Ontario (Canada), Oklahoma, and New York. If you’re such a member, the Cayuga Nation Financial Aid Assistance for Education Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you!
Each year, the scholarship awards up to $2,000 to five (5) Cayuga Nation members from anywhere around the world (or the child of a Cayuga Nation father) who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an institution of higher education. To apply, interested students must submit an acceptance letter from their post-secondary institution, transcripts, and more (see “Application information” for the full list of required materials). Recipients are eligible to reapply for the scholarship each semester upon the maintenance of a 2.5+ GPA.
