How would you like to earn over $5,000 to put toward your college education? If you’re a college student from Indiana, Ohio, or Kentucky, you may qualify for the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Scholarship!
Worth $5,500, this scholarship is open to college students residing in select counties of these states (see list of counties in eligibility information section below) who are currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program. Students attending HBCUs or UNCF-Affiliated schools may receive special consideration. Additionally, preference is given to students who are interested in majoring in education and/or a STEM related field. All applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered.
To apply, interested students must submit a one-page essay (a statement of career interests), a resume of activities and leadership, a recent academic transcript, and a letter of recommendation from an educator, academic advisor/counselor, employment supervisor, or a community leader with whom the student interacts. The letter should provide key details about the interactions between the recommender and the applicant, and should highlight the applicant’s personality, work habits, and skills.
