Are you a high school senior from Orange County planning to attend the University of California, Berkeley? If so, you could be eligible to apply for the Brad Evans Scholarship! This $10,000 scholarship was established in memory of Brad Evans, who graduated from Corona del Mar High School in 1996 and then attended the University of California at Berkeley as a Regent’s and Chancellor’s Scholar. Brad passed away four months before he was set to graduate.
To honor Brad’s memory, the Orange County Community Foundation is offering this scholarship to support talented and versatile students with first year expenses at U.C. Berkeley. Eligible applicants must be graduating from the Newport-Mesa Unified School District in Orange County and be accepted to an accredited program at the University of California, Berkeley as a full-time student.
Applicants should also have a GPA of at least 3.0 and a demonstrated record of community service and leadership.
