Are you a graduating high school senior from Indiana Area High School in Indiana, Pennsylvania? Furthermore, are you a student-athlete? If you answered ‘yes’ to both of those questions, then you’re eligible to apply for the Bo Wood Scholarship!
Funded by the Pittsburgh Foundation, this scholarship is worth up to $2,000 and open to students who have participated in at least one organized sport through Indiana Area Senior High School Athletic Association. To meet all the eligibility requirements, applicants must also have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend an accredited vocational school, technical trade school, or 2-or 4-year college or university in the United States.
To apply, students must submit the FAFSA, an essay, unofficial transcripts, and three letters of recommendation (including a teacher who can speak to their academic achievements, an athletic coach, and someone familiar with their community involvement or extracurricular activities).
