Bertha Pitts Campbell was one of the 22 college students who helped found Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 1913 at Howard University. Today, this well-known sorority has over 1,000 chapters around the world and over 250,000 members. In memory of Campbell, who resided in Seattle most of her life, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority – Seattle Alumnae Chapter is offering three scholarships worth up to $2,000 each!
The Bertha Pitts Campbell Scholarship is open to female African American high school seniors residing in the Seattle area. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be planning to attend a four-year university in any state.
