Austin Hooey, a longtime resident of Chatham and one of the first female financial analysts on Wall Street, bequeathed $1.2 million to the Community Foundation of New Jersey to establish a permanent scholarship endowment for Chatham High School students.
This scholarship, worth between $5,000 and $40,000, is offered to high school seniors that are graduating from Chatham high school in New Jersey. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on financial need, academic performance, and merit.
