    Ready to secure some tuition assistance for college? The AMS Scholarship for Underserved Communities supports students who have historically been underrepresented in the sciences, particularly Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. Funding comes from donations made to the AMS Annual Giving Program. 

    Worth between $3,000 and $6,000, this scholarship is offered to high school seniors and college freshmen who are underrepresented minority students entering college. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to pursue a career in atmospheric, oceanic, or hydrologic sciences. 

    To apply, applicants must submit an academic transcript and letter of recommendation.
