The Asian Pacific Community Fund is partnering with Verizon to financially assist students in pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. The financial assistance comes in the form of the Verizon Scholarship Awards Program.
Who is eligible for the Verizon Scholarship Awards program?
To be eligible, students must be high school students who are in their senior year. Students must be planning on enrolling in an accredited four year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student. Students must also have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
Additionally, students must intend to major in sciences, mathematics, ore engineering.
How do you apply for this scholarship?
Students must submit a completed application which includes:
- The actual scholarship application
- A recommender form
- An official high schools transcript hat includes the entire set of grades from junior year. The transcript can be scanned and uploaded, faxed, or mailed to the scholarship committee.
