Today’s scholarship is the Randy Pausch Scholarship Fund which aims to support students who are interested in careers “specializing in the development of interactive entertainment.” These careers “include (but are not limited to) art, animation, programming, engineering, game direction, game design, sound design, and music composition.” Students of any major are eligible to apply.
What students are eligible for this scholarship?
To be eligible, students must be full-time undergraduates starting their second year of school or graduate students. Additionally, students must have a 3.3 minimum GPA.
What is included in the scholarship application?
- Students need to submit two recommendations
- A two page letter including info about your studies/how you will benefit the gaming industry and a statement addressing your service, leadership, character, and financial need.
- Most recent official transcript
What are the scholarship awards?
Two students will be awarded scholarships worth $2,500.
What will the scholarship committee be considering?
The scholarship committee will be considering the application, service, leadership, character, and financial need.
