The PinkRose Foundation is a charity that was established in 2003 by Theresa Jay and Sandra Ellis. The Foundation’s goal is to support students who have lost a parent so they can “embark on personal growth and start to overcome the grief caused by breast cancer.” PinkRose is fortunate to charitably give back to the children left behind because of breast cancer. Since their inception in 2003, PinkRose has awarded $1000 scholarships to 91 college students through the Pink Rose Breast Cancer Scholarship.
Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?
Eligibility is limited to individuals who are legal residents of the United States of America, under the age of 25 who have lost a parent or legal guardian to breast cancer. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be pursuing post secondary education or certificate training.
What are the the PinkRose Scholarship requirements?
To be eligible for this scholarship program, students must:
- Acceptance letter to college and/or certificate program
- Copy of your parent’s death certificate noting breast cancer as the cause of death.

How much is the Pink Rose Scholarship worth?
The Pink Rose Breast Cancer charity offers $1000 to each student who is awarded the scholarship.
When is the scholarship application due?
The application for this scholarship opens on October 1st, and the deadline date is October 31, 2019. This scholarship is offered each year, so if the deadline has passed you should check back in next fall.
