The Philosophy Scholarship is offered philosophy majors, who could use some support! Too many people wrongly believe that there are not many job opportunities with a philosophy. Because philosophy students develop such strong critical thinking skills and learn to look at problems from multiple perspectives, they are sought after employees. Did you know that philosophy majors have some of the highest GRE and LSAT scores of any major? In addition, philosophy majors often earn more as well. Indeed, for the right person, a career in philosophy is ideal. It prepares them for the many opportunities that our complex, ever-changing world presents.
Who is eligible to apply for the Philosophy Scholarship?
This scholarship is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in philosophy.
What are the scholarship requirements?
Please respond to the prompts listed below in a 500 to 800 word essay. Remember, your written response is the main criteria for selecting the scholarship winner. Be sure to give the essay the time it deserves. This includes using the most effective writing techniques, including that engaging hook, a clear thesis, and relevant points supported by lively examples. Remember how important grammar and punctuation are–they show you care. Be sure to give your essay a final proofreading before you hit that submit button. The essay should convey a genuine passion for philosophy while synthesizing the questions asked.
