The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is a program that awards scholarships to support immigrants and the children of immigrants. The founders of this scholarship program, Paul and Daisy Soros, are immigrants from Hungary. This scholarship program is extremely lucrative as Fellows are awarded up to $90,000 over two years of study!
Who is eligible to apply for the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans?
This Fellowship is open to students pursuing graduate degrees. It is open to immigrants and children of immigrants who are college seniors, current graduate students, or prospective graduate students. To find out if you are eligible, click here.

Each webinar will include an overview of the Fellowship, how to apply, selection criteria, eligibility requirements, the benefits of the Fellowship and the Fellowship community. The best part is, participants can submit questions ahead of the webinar or during the webinar.

What will the selection committee be considering? The scholarship selection committee will be “focused on accomplishments that show creativity, originality, and initiative in light of the challenges and opportunities that have been part of the applicant’s immigration experience.”
How much are the Fellowships worth?
Each Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over the course of two years. In addition, winners join a lifelong community of New American Fellows.
When is the application deadline? The Fellowships for New Americans application is due October 28, 2021.
