National Collegiate Competitive Eating Association Scholarships
One of the greatest Fourth of July traditions is the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest which is held in Coney Island in New York.
Because we already covered the 2011 Independence Day Scholarship Contest, today we are going to profile the National Collegiate Competitive Eating Association’s Elite Collegiate Student Eater Search.
The NCCEA is the national organization which overseas collegiate competitive eating. This scholarship contest requires competitive collegiate eaters to submit an application, resume, and short essay discussing why they are the “Most Elite Collegiate Student Eater.” Completed application must include the following information:
- Personal information (name, age, hometown, height, weight)
- College information (major, extracurricular activities, academic accomplishments)
- Eating accomplishments
- Photograph of yourself
Completed applications can be then sent by e-mail to the NCCEA: [email protected]
Applicants will be considered for both a $100 textbook scholarship and a $500 college scholarship.
Applications are due September 15, 2011
