Latino Employee Network of Union Pacific Scholarship
Today’s scholarship is from the Latino Employee Network of Union Pacific. This scholarship program is aimed at Latino students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate college or university. This scholarship will award a merit scholarship worth $1,000.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be of Latino or Hispanic heritage and be residents of either Omaha (NE), Council Bluffs (IA) or the surrounding metro-area. Students must be enrolled in an ACE accreted college/university and be pursuing an undergrad degree.
The scholarship application can be found online and includes an essay. This year, the essay prompt is:
Education is an indivisible part of the prosperity of the nation. The more educated and cultured people there
are in the country the more flourishing and thrifty the country is. Comment on this issue, argument your
decision.
Students will also need to submit two references, a copy of their transcript, and a letter of enrollment (at a college/university).
To be considered, scholarship applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2013–you still have a few days left to apply!
