Today’s scholarship, the James. J Davis Memorial Scholarship, is sponsored by Kymanox. The mission of Kymanox is to “facilitate effective and efficient knowledge transfer.” Within this mission, Kymanox offers a scholarship each year for students who will be studying abroad!
Who is eligible for the James. J. Davis Memorial Scholarship?
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be current undergraduate students enrolled in a full academic year or fall, spring, or summer semester/quarter study abroad program. Students who will be studying abroad for less than eight weeks will not be considered. Additionally, students must meet be US Citizens (or US Permanent Residents).
Preference for this scholarship will be given to students with financial need, students studying in a non-English speaking countries, and Engineering/Math/Science majors. Remember, that these are only students who preference will be given for–all other students will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
What does the scholarship application include?
The application can be found online and includes an essay. The essay prompt is:
What do you hope to gain by studying abroad?
Essays should be between 250 and 750 words. In addition to the essay, students must submit a copy of their study abroad acceptance letter and a copy of their financial aid award letter.
