The Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship is a scholarship from DeleteCyberbullying.org. The goal of the Delete Cyberbullying organization is “to educate parents and teens about the dangers of living in a connected world.” If you have something important to say about cyberbullying (we all should!), keep reading!
Who is eligible to apply for the Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship?
This is an inclusive opportunity. To apply for this scholarship, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university for undergraduate or graduate studies
- A high school, college, or graduate student or a student planning to enter college
How do I apply?
To apply, students simply fill out the online application or they can mail in an application. The application includes a 500 words or less essay in response to one of the following prompts:
- “Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying?”
- “How has cyberbullying personally affected you?”
Selection Criteria:
Selection is based on the written essay and focused on creativity, content and a commitment to the cause of deleting cyberbullying. Since the winner is selected on the quality of their writing, make sure that your essay brings the real “you” to life! Don’t forget to clearly answer whichever prompt you choose. Include vivid details and examples, and finally, proofread for spelling, punctuation, and grammar before you hit that final “submit” button!
