College Greenlight “Next Stop: College” Scholarship
Today’s scholarship, the Next Stop: College Scholarship, is from the website College Greenlight. College Greenlight is a fantastic new resource that is aimed at first-generation and traditionally underrepresented students. The “Next Stop: College” Scholarship will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a high school student “who embodies the mission of College Greenlight, knows that college is in their future, and wants help getting there.”
Who is eligible for this scholarship?
To be eligible for the Next Stop: College Scholarship, students must be in high school sophomores or juniors (or graduating in 2014 or 2015). Specifically this scholarship is for College Greenlight’s target demographics including first-generation students, underrepresented students, and students who have demonstrated financial need.
What will the scholarship selection committee be looking at:
- Academic merit
- Leadership history
- Extracurricular activities

The application for this scholarship can be found online. The application can be completed online and is not due until December 31, 2013, so there is plenty of time left to apply.
