Textbooks are one of the costs of college we forget about. Sure, the few hundred dollars does not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things (after all, tuition is tens of thousands of dollars), the cost adds up. Today’s scholarship helps alleviate the costs of textbooks and is open to incoming college freshmen.
The Chegg Textbooks Scholarship awards “free books for freshmen” of up to $1,000 which is plenty for the academic year. This scholarship asks students to write a short essay on “the three (3) things they like the most about their new college.” Essays should be 500 characters or fewer.
The scholarship application can be found online and entries are due by August 31, 2012.
Good luck!
