Everyone knows about Amazon.com as a shopping destination online. What you may not know is that Amazon is committed to supporting college and high school students through the Amazon Student Scholarship program.
This program is awarding $250,000 in merit scholarships and $25,000 in textbook gift cards to 50 Amazon student members. This is a merit based scholarship and applicants will be judged based on GPA, community service, and leadership experience in their high school or community. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
How does the Amazon Student Scholarship work?
To be eligible for this program, you must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college as of fall 2015, or you must intend on being a full-time student in fall 2015. This means that high school seniors may apply for the scholarship.
In addition to the above, you must be a member of Amazon Student to be eligible (this gives you free two-day shipping, access to deals and promotions exclusively for students, and other perks). If you aren’t signed up already, you can sign up for Amazon Student online on the Amazon website.
Application & Deadline
You can apply for the Amazon Student Scholarship online. As this is a merit-based scholarship, students will be asked about their GPA, community service, and leadership experience in the application. The deadline is November 20, 2015.
Best of luck!
