2013 Rosa Parks CAIR Scholarship
Today’s scholarship, the 2013 Rosa Parks CAIR Scholarship, is sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations. This scholarship aims to honor the life and work of Rosa Parks.
Who is this scholarship for?
To be eligible for this scholarship students must be enrolled as a full-time student for the Fall 2013 semester. Students in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are all able to apply. Specifically, students should be passionate about social justice and civil liberties. In this, volunteering and employment in these areas will be an important consideration.
What does the scholarship application entail?
The scholarship is essay-based and asks students to write an essay of 500 words or less on the prompt: “Describe an experience that illustrates your connection to advancing equality in America.” The entire scholarship application can be found online.
How much is this scholarship worth?
The winning student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship
