Experience

Bill Jack’s interest in college admission started during his first year in college when he was an overnight host for prospective students.  During college, he held positions such as tour guide, summer admissions intern, overnight host coordinator, and senior admissions fellow.  After graduating from Bates College with a degree in political science, Bill joined the admission staff at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.  After six years at Colby, he spent three at Wesleyan, then two at the University of Maine at Farmington.

This year will be Bill’s fifth winter reading applications for Bates.  For his first two years at Wesleyan, in addition to his admission duties, he reviewed financial aid applications.  In this role, he became very familiar with the FAFSA, the CSS Profile, tax returns, W-2s, and other components of financial aid applications.  At Colby, Wesleyan, and UMF, Bill took a very active role in the campus visit experience: supervising tour guides, planning open houses, and more.
