The Georgia Tech Scholars Program is designed to recruit and enroll academically talented students from across our state. Through this program, Georgia Tech will offer admission to valedictorians and salutatorians from Georgia high schools who meet the requirements.
Tech Promise Scholarship
The G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program is the first of its kind offered by a public university in Georgia. It provides a debt-free degree to qualifying students from low-income Georgia families, filling a gap in the financial aid support system by picking up where other scholarships and financial aid options leave off, covering a student’s full cost of attendance.

Academic excellence, financial need, and major of study are the primary criteria used for selecting recipients. Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus Financial Aid
Students who are applying for financial aid at Georgia Tech need to submit both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA), as well as the CSS Profile.
The FAFSA uses financial information from the prior, prior year which means that you don’t need to wait for the year to end and can use last year’s financial information.
The FAFSA code for Georgia Tech is 001569 and the CSS Profile Code is 5248.
It should be noted that while the FAFSA is free, the CSS Profile does require an application fee. However, students can qualify for a CSS Profile application fee waiver if the cost will present a financial hardship for the students’ family.

Using State Grants at Georgia Tech
If you're a Georgia resident interested in Georgia Tech, be sure to investigate whether you'd qualify for the HOPE Scholarship and/or the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant Program. The HOPE Scholarship is for students who have made substantial academic achievements. The Tuition Equalization Grant is for students attending private schools, and it helps to make the cost of private school more comparable to public school. Stamps Scholarship at Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech participates in the Stamps Scholarship Program, which means that they offer recurring scholarships to select admitted students. These awards range between $6,000 to $90,000 per year. Many schools automatically consider admitted students for Stamps Scholarships. However, some schools have a separate application process; be sure to check Georgia Tech's website for information on how to apply.
No Loan Policy at Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech is a no-loan school, which means that their financial aid packages offer students grants and scholarships in place of the federal loans that are typically part of a package. This means that their financial aid is more generous than most, and they help bridge the gap between cost and student need. Some no-loan schools offer this policy for all accepted students while others only extend it to students below a specific income level, or to in-state students. Pell Grants at Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus
