Experience
Karla Ibarra’s work with Scholarships360 is informed by her experience as a writing tutor and teacher to Spanish-speaking children from Latin America. She studied at Texas A&M University from 2016-2020 in the Regents’ Scholars program and graduated with a B.A. in Communication with a minor in English.
During her time at Texas A&M, she worked at the University Writing Center, tutoring undergraduate, graduate, and ELL/ESL students. She has helped edit countless scholarship applications and college entrance essays from various students of different majors.
As a first-generation graduate coming from a low-income family, Karla wishes to guide other students in similar situations to receive scholarships and complete their education. When she is not working, Karla enjoys baking desserts, sewing, and drinking iced coffee.
